For more than 25 years, Jacqui Bomar‘s passion has been creating events that attract and entertain tens of thousands of people. She’s planned grand openings for major convention centers, managed conventions in places like Prague, Seoul and Toronto, and recruited the Monkees, the Beach Boys, Diamond Rio and countless other entertainers to croon to arenas packed with fans. She has also hired national speakers including George Foreman, Elizabeth Dole, General Colin Powell, Lou Holtz, and Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Today, Jacqui’s energy is directed at creating large consumer shows throughout the Southeast, as well as consulting on large scale promotions.
 
 

Jacqui Bomar

Jacqui graduated in 1984 from Simmons College in Boston. After college, she sold radio advertising and then moved on to the Worcester (MA) Telegram, where she created and managed advertising campaigns, promotions and events. Subsequently, she joined SMG as a Marketing Manager. In that role, she developed grand opening events for the Broward County/Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center, served as the Marketing and PR Director, and was a part of the opening team for the Rhode Island Convention Center. She then moved on to develop an Events and Business Development department for InterNet Services Corporation in Charlotte, NC. In her six years at InterNet, she and her team planned large conventions both nationally and internationally, for audiences ranging from 8,000 to 50,000.

In 2001, Jacqui founded JBM & Associates where she focuses on event management, public relations, sponsorship development and promotions. She immediately began producing consumer shows throughout the Southeast, a task which encompasses all the skills she has developed over 20 years of experience.

Today, JBM & Associates produces the Charleston Boat Show, Savannah International Boat Show, and the Upstate Women’s Show. In addition to her local activities, Jacqui sits on the board of the National Association of Consumer Shows.

Jacqui’s day to day world consists of selling sponsorships to companies such as Home Depot, Macy’s, Mercury Marine, GMC, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, and BI LO. Jacqui is also responsible for the overall marketing strategy in each event city including public relations plans, promotions, media buying, and directing all the creative and special features of her shows.
