For more than 25 years, Jacqui Bomar’s passion has been creating events that attract and entertain tens of thousands of people. She’s planned grand openings for major convention centers and has managed conventions in cities like Prague and London.  Although Jacqui’s career has taken her all over the world, today her energy is directed toward a different audience here in the Southeast.

Jacqui and her show management production and marketing company, JBM & Associates, produce several successful consumer shows, including the Charleston Boat Show, the Savannah Boat & Outdoor Show, the Upstate Women’s Show and the Spice of Life Food & Fitness Fest. Their newest event, the Columbia Women’s Show, launches February 10-12, 2012 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Jacqui’s talent for “out-of the box” marketing is fueled by the satisfaction of constantly creating something new and different at each event. She also is motivated by a desire to give back to the community, and her events are the perfect vehicles to benefit local nonprofit organizations as our beneficiaries.

Jacqui grew up in Central Massachusetts and received a BA from Simmons College in Boston. She has lived in 10 different cities on the east coast, but loves spending time in Greenville as well as in Charleston with her husband and six -year-old son. One of her favorite sayings is, “If you’re unhappy in your life, change it. Life is about continuously reinventing yourself!”

Debbie is the Show Manager for the Upstate Women’s Show, The Charleston Boat Show, and The Savannah Boat and Outdoor Show, overseeing all programming and operations, and working to ensure that vendors and sponsors have a rewarding show experience.  Prior to joining JBM & Associates in 2007, she spent 23 years as a Certified Medical Office Manager, and three years as office manager for a home builders’ group.

Born and raised in Mt. Airy, NC, and the mother of four children aged 9 to 31, Debbie was named one of Talk Magazine’s “25 Most Beautiful Women” in 2010.

Debbie’s favorite part of her job is when a show comes to life:  “. . . seeing the fruits of our labor being enjoyed by others.  Watching people laugh and have a good time makes me so happy that it is hard to wipe the smile off my face!” she said. “I also love interacting with exhibitors and sponsors to learn about each different company, communicating with attendees as well as the gratification of monies raised for our beneficiaries. “

In her role as show manager for the Upstate Spice of Life Food & Fitness Festival and Columbia Women’s Show, Billie oversees every aspect of the events, from working with sponsors and exhibitors and creating promotions and special features to coordinating with venues and show decorators on all logistics.

Born in Seneca, SC, Billie has a B.S. in Sports/Entertainment/Event Management from Johnson & Wales University.  Prior to joining JBM & Associates in her current role, she served as Marketing Coordinator at the North Charleston Coliseum and Catering Sales & Marketing Manager for a local restaurant.
